Business Development Manager
Emir is the newest member of the Ironbark Group team, joining in October 2025. He focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and working alongside Ben and Gene to develop growth strategies, and align business goals across mortgage, insurance, and asset finance teams.
With a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical and Environmental) from the University of Queensland, Emir brings 19 years of experience as an engineer, consultant, and business owner. His background includes managing operations, sales, customer service, finances, long-term planning, marketing, and networking, all of which have honed his ability to adapt, plan carefully, and build strong relationships.
What Emir enjoys most about working at Ironbark Group is being part of a talented team where everyone’s opinions count, the drive for success is visible, and the professional environment is supportive and energising.
When he’s not at work, Emir can be found playing basketball, watching the NBA, taking family vacations, or tackling the endless stream of projects his wife and kids dream up. Fun fact: Emir didn’t have a nickname until he migrated to Australia. Now he’s affectionately called “Emirski” because his accent led colleagues to jokingly think he was Russian when he first arrived.
