Our team brings experience from across a range of specialties within the finance industry. With staff ranging from ex-bankers, financiers, and Certified Mortgage brokers (Diploma certified), Ironbark Mortgages has emerged as a well-known and respected Mortgage & Finance Brokerage within Australia. We recognise that each client has specific needs in relation to their finance. We strive to meet those unique requirements through our knowledge and expertise gained from over 60 years combined, hands-on experience in the mortgage and finance industry.
Ben Carpenter
Managing Director of Ironbark Mortgages & Finance Broker
Ben is the co-owner and director of Ironbark Mortgages & an FBAA approved Mortgage Broker.
He has a wealth of experience with over 20 years in the financial services industry, he managed large banks in both UK and Australia before moving into broking 5 years ago when he realised, he could assist more clients by having a greater number of options available by dealing with 50 lenders.
Ben focuses on putting the best loan strategy in place based on the clients’ specific needs and circumstances. This involves taking time to understand and listen to what they really want to achieve and providing the options to help them get there.

Gene Clark
Managing Director / Finance Broker
Gene founded Ironbark Group Australia in 2010 after 25 years in the financial services industry gaining a wealth of finance experience with various large corporate Banks and Finance companies developing a niche in structured finance, which allows Gene to look for solutions outside the box when required that work for his clients.
Gene holds a diploma in Mortgage Broking Management and is an approved FBAA and CAFBA Finance Broker with access to over 50+ lenders to assist his clients find the right finance solutions that meets their needs.
Gene focuses on putting the best loan strategy in place based on the clients’ specific needs and circumstances. This involves taking time to understand and listen to what clients really want to achieve and then providing the best solutions to help his clients reach their goals.

Carly is an experienced Loan Writer with over 13 years in the finance industry. As a former highly successful NAB home lender she has a wealth of knowledge and expertise to assist you with your mortgage needs.
At Ironbark Mortgages she became a FBAA approved Mortgage Broker as she wanted to use her knowledge and experience to better serve clients with the best loan strategy in place based on the clients’ specific needs and circumstances.
